Introducing the new way to dose septic systems...
The Flout™ Dosing Distrubution Device

Also known as the Floating Outlet™

The advantages of Septic Disposal Field Dosing are well known. The usual dosing chamber uses a self starting "bell" siphon, with a design dating back over 100 years. For the precaster and the installer, siphons pose difficulties in building, shipping, and installing because they project below the bottom of the chamber floor. For the owner and the operator, they pose the problems of clogging and loss of prime. The Flout™ eliminates these problems with a simple, easy to install design! In use since 1993, the Flout™ is proving itself in many installations across the US, Canada, and around the world.

Proven Performance and Reliability!

Installed 1994 at the Cornwall Consolidated School in Cornwall, CT this Flout has reliably dosed hundreds of thousands of gallons of effluent without missing a cycle!

The first 3" FLOUT™ was installed in 1993 in Andover, CT. Even today, 13 years later this unit is still as reliable as the day it was installed. View a video of this unit:

HOW IT WORKS

As effluent from the septic tank fills the chamber, the Flout™(Fig.1) is empty , buoyant, and floats on the surface. High quality, flexible connectors allow the Flout™ to rise. When the effluent reaches the maximum level in the chamber (Fig.2), it spills into the opening in the top of the Flout™. This causes the Flout™ to sink (Fig.3). The effluent now discharges through the pipe exiting the chamber (Fig.4) dosing the septic field, and as with multiple outlet units, achieving precise distribution. The chamber continues to empty down to the top of the Flout™(Fig.5). Then the Flout™ empties and resumes floating to repeat another cycle(Fig.1).

Why choose a Floating Outlet™ instead of a siphon?

•Simple, dependable design
•Easy to produce, transport, install, and maintain
•Various outlet arrangements and drawdowns starting at 8 inches
•More available drawdown than siphons
•Precise distribution with multi-outlet units
•Many other uses including agriculture and stormwater control
